I love attending SCAD and there is not a lot wrong with scad, both Atlanta and Savannah campus is beautiful! I have toured both! The professors are amazing and I have yet to have one god awful professor. Some if the downsides to being at SCAD however the cost of tuition, you pay a lot and its hard to see where it goes to some degree for example housing. After finishing my fall quarter last year we were out for 3 whole months before going back for the winter quarter yet still had to pay the same amount for housing which is a lot and we were not even given the ability to say on campus during the break of we needed to like other campuses offer. The dinning experience is hit or miss at SCAD too. They are known for serving old food at the ATL campus and I know a number of people who have gotten sick but it got better toward the end of spring quarter. SCAd is full of opportunities and if you have the ability to be financially comfortable to go to SCAD you should go and use all the resources!

As a first year student, SCAD has impressed me overall. Being able to work towards your real dreams and actively building up a portfolio, and to so easily access big companies is like a dream come true! The classes here are provided with plenty of useful information, but with the right professors. Some of the classes I took were a nightmare because of the professors. One severely lacked in communication while the other only catered to certain students who already mastered the material and treating everyone else like a second thought. And the food has always made me sick to my stomach and I've found bugs in it a couple of times. But the worst of it comes from their disability services. I scheduled a psychiatric appointment for an evaluation, and the psychiatrist went on about these generalized assumptions about people with certain personality disorders. She kept calling them "manipulative" and "dramatic". I felt extremely unsafe and am disappointed in SCAD for hiring such a person.

This is a great college to attend! Make an effort to get involved in workshops at the very least and clubs if you can! The teachers are extremely knowledgeable and want to help you. At the times that my professors weren't able to give me more information, they provided resources or resources were easy to find. Be ambitious and resourceful! Nothing is better than a problem-solver and truth-seeker!
