Overall Objective [OG]

"The Overall Objective explains why the project is important to society, (also sometimes in terms of the longer-term benefits to final beneficiaries and the widerbenefits to other groups. They also help to show how the project/programme fits into the regional/sector policies of the government/organisations concerned and of the EC, as well as into the overarching policy objectives of EC co-operation. The Overall Objectivewill not be achieved by the project alone (it will only provide a contribution), but will require the contributions of other programmes andprojects as well".
