Title: _________________

Date: _________________

Sometimes we use the word “Its” instead of “title.” It is intended to designate what position the signer holds at the company, in order to give evidence that this person is authorized to sign on behalf of the company. The word “Title” or the word “Its” is where the person signing puts the name of his or her position with the company the he or she represents.

So if the Chief Executive Officer of the company is signing, that person would identify himself or herself as “its Chief Executive Officer” by writing “Chief Executive Officer” next to “its.
