Shannon, Cook and Frazee Earn USILA All-America Honors - Florida Southern College (1)

LAKELAND, Fla. – The No. 20 Florida Southern College men's lacrosse program saw three more honors roll as a trio of Moccasins earned a spot on the USILA All-American Teams. Graduate student Nick Shannon becomes just the second Moccasin in program history to earn Second Team All-America honors joining former teammate Jay Minor (2022-23) who earned the honor following the 2023 season. Senior Kaleb Cook represents just the sixth Moccasin in program history to earn Third Team All-America while senior Jack Frazee is just the fifth FSC men's lacrosse student-athlete to earn USILA Honorable Mention All-America honors, joining Shannon who earned the honor last season.

There are now an elite 11 in FSC program history who have earned USILA All-America honors including D.J. Lubs (2010-14), Dane Sorensen (2012-15), Austen Lison (2016-19), Jeff Atlas (2019-22), Kevin Horwitz (2018-22), Craig Connor (2019-23), Sean Nolan (2019-23), Minor, Shannon, Cook and Frazee. Lubs was a two-time Honorable Mention honoree in 2013 and 2014, Sorensen was Third Team in 2015, Lison was Third Team in 2017, both Atlas and Horwitz were Third Team in 2022, Connor earned Third Team honors last season while Minor was Second Team and Shannon and Nolan picked up Honorable Mention accolades.

Shannon, a 2024 Team Captain, 2024 Sunshine State Conference Defensive Player of the Year and 2024 USILA All-South Region First Team selection, takes home USILA All-America honors for the second time in his career. The Boynton Beach, Fla. native ranks 14th in the NCAA in caused turnovers per game this season at 2.31 while ranking fourth in the SSC. He also ranks in the top-10 in the SSC in ground balls per game at 3.94, which is good for fifth on the list. He had three or more caused turnovers in 10 contests this past season and now owns the career caused turnover record at FSC with 132. He scored his first career goal in 2024 as he found the back of the cage for the first time in his final regular season home game of his career versus Lynn. He also picked up an assist against the Fighting Knights, only the second of his career.

Cook, a 2024 Team Captain, First Team All-SSC selection, and USILA Second Team All-South Region, earns his first career USILA All-America honor after a balanced season in which he scored 23 goals and dished out 25 assists. He ranked second on the squad in both assists and points (48) while coming in fifth in goals. The Lakeland, Fla., native had a trio of four goal contests this season including versus Montevallo, at Saint Leo and versus Saint Leo in the opening round of the SSC Tournament. He tallied at least one point in all but two contests this season while finishing the year on a 13-game point streak. He currently ranks sixth in the SSC in assists per game (1.47), while ranking 14th in points per game (2.82).

Frazee, a 2024 Team Captain, First Team All-SSC selection, and 2024 USILA Third Team All-South Region selection, collects his first career All-America honor after appearing in every Florida Southern contest over the last three seasons. He has been a leader on and off the field and is one of the most consistent performers on the field for the Mocs over the last several years. He started every game this season while scooping up 30 ground balls and handing out three assists. His assists came at Lander, versus Lynn and at Tampa in the SSC Championship semifinals. He also caused five turnovers in 2024 including in the season finale at Tampa.

A total of 18 student-athletes were honored from the Sunshine State Conference including four on the First Team, three on the Second Team, four on the Third Team and seven on the Honorable Mention list. Tampa led with eight selections including four First Team honorees while Rollins finished with five selections including two Third Team selections. The Mocs finished with three selections including both a Second and Third Team honoree. The final two SSC teams represented were Florida Tech and Saint Leo who each had one Honorable Mention.
