The place is unsanitary the men are disgusting when it comes to the case mangers they can do more and work better with their clients meaning make sure they have their medication. Instead sending those men to the hospitals when they OD send them to rehab to better themselves. Half of them are in there suffering because they don’t have stability. It’s sad really and depressing. Working there is challenge to having to dealWith messy coworkers and favoritism. The environment itself is toxic.

This shelter is absolutely disgusting. Every single day there are homeless men hanging outside the place harassing people for change and cat calling innocent female civilians. These case managers do not care for the well-being of these homeless men and the people who are harassed in the area. These homeless men stroll all the way to gun hill road and jerome to beg for change and disturb people in restaurants. If they have the ability to hold a door, what is preventing them from getting a job? Recently I seen these homeless men in groups ask for change at the Woodlawn train station on the car road when cars come to a red light. Even more so these people ask harass pedestrians who are simply waiting for the bus to go to Yonkers. Without ignorance, these homeless people have money to buy liquor and cigarettes in the store next door but do not have the means to buy soap or deodorant to stay sanitary. The security of this homeless shelter contribute to these individuals by not enforcing a curfew or setting ground rules about keeping there hands to themselves. I understand that many of these people are suffering from illnesses and disorder but this should be the responsibility of the case workers and families of these people. This homeless shelter should not be active in a residential area.
