On this Financial Friday at Brothers Who Care, we are going to touch on a topic that may not seem important, but could be affecting how you live your life without even knowing it.

Words can inspire, motivate, comfort, and bring people together. On the other hand, words can also: hurt, offend, divide, and put out vibrations into the universe that could be handicapping your financial growth.

How many times have you caught yourself making statements like:

  1. "I'm broke."
  2. "I'm strapped for cash."
  3. "I don't have any funds."
  4. "I'm penniless."
  5. "I'm skint."
  6. "I'm tapped out."
  7. "I'm financially challenged."
  8. "I'm short on money."
  9. "I'm out of funds."
  10. "I'm running low on cash."
  11. "I'm flat broke."
  12. "I'm destitute."
  13. "I'm in dire straits."
  14. "I'm in a tight spot financially."
  15. "I'm living paycheck to paycheck."
  16. "I'm in a financial bind."
  17. "I'm strapped for funds."
  18. "I'm financially strapped."
  19. "I'm hard up for money."
  20. "I'm broke as a joke."

Some of these statements have become commonplace for most of us, and we don’t realize how damming they are.

"I'm broke," "I'm short on money," “I'm in a tight spot financially." You are what you say you are! (3)

Words carry vibrations, or energy, that can affect our: thoughts, feelings, and even physical surroundings. This idea is based on the principle that everything in the universe is made up of energy, including words and language.

According to this concept, positive words and affirmations can have a beneficial effect on our well-being and can even attract positive experiences and outcomes, while negative words and thoughts can have the opposite effect.

While there is no scientific evidence to support the idea that words carry vibrations, many people find that using positive language and affirmations can help them feel more optimistic, motivated, and confident. Similarly, negative language and self-talk can contribute to feelings of anxiety, stress, and low self-esteem.

So instead of saying “ Im broke,” try:

  1. "Money flows easily and effortlessly into my life."
  2. "I am worthy of financial abundance and prosperity."
  3. "I attract money with every positive thought and action."
  4. "I am grateful for the money that I have and for the abundance that is on its way to me."
  5. "Money is my friend and ally, and it helps me create the life I desire."
  6. "I am open to receiving abundance and wealth in all areas of my life."
  7. "My wealth and success continue to grow every day."
  8. "I trust in the universe to provide me with all the financial resources I need."
  9. "I have a healthy and positive relationship with money."
  10. "Money is a tool that allows me to live my life to the fullest."

"I'm broke," "I'm short on money," “I'm in a tight spot financially." You are what you say you are! (7)

This is something that takes practice, but like anything else, practice becomes perfect.

It is time to try something different, change the way that we as a community look at money, and it starts with you.
