The Equal Employment Opportunity Commission (EEOC) has issued final regulations for the Pregnant Workers Fairness Act (PWFA), which mandates employers with at least 15 employees to provide reasonable accommodations for qualified employees or applicants with limitations related to pregnancy, childbirth, or related medical conditions, including conditions that are temporary in nature. These accommodations are required unless they cause undue hardship for the employer. While the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) already requires accommodations for employees with pregnancy-related disabilities, the PWFA expands protections by covering "known limitations," even if they don't meet the ADA's definition of disability. Unlike the ADA, the PWFA allows accommodations for employees who cannot perform specific essential job functions with certain parameters. If your organization needs comprehensive compliance management to be informed and prepared for regulation changes, myHR Partner can help.https://hubs.ly/Q02wXs1-0

Have you heard? The Department of Labor (DOL) has announced a new rule that raises the salary threshold for white-collar exemptions under the Fair Labor Standards Act (FLSA).This final rule updates the regulations for exemptions from the FLSA's minimum wage and overtime requirements for executive, administrative, professional, outside sales, and computer employees, often known as "white-collar" workers.Key changes include raising the standard salary level to qualify for these exemptions and increasing the total annual compensation threshold for highly compensated employees. This shift will impact which employees are eligible for overtime and minimum wage protections, ensuring broader coverage for workers. If your organization needs comprehensive compliance management to be informed and prepared for regulation changes, myHR Partner can help.https://hubs.ly/Q02xrVmL0

The correct answer to yesterday's Trivia Tuesday is B) 30%. According to Legal Jobs, almost 30% of new employees resign within their first three months on the job. Employee retention has emerged as a key issue for human resources in the United States. An employee's choice to leave a job can stem from various factors, many of which are beyond HR's control. However, HR can improve retention by offering support for employee development and creating opportunities for growth, which can help keep employees engaged and motivated to take on new challenges.Follow the link below to learn more about our employee relations services.https://hubs.ly/Q02wPg3S0
